  3.    Evangeline Adams helped bring astrology to the 
  4. masses in the United States around the turn of the 
  5. century. In 1914, she was tried for being a fortune 
  6. teller and was given a horoscope to interpret in 
  7. court (the horoscope was that of the judge's son). 
  8. Her reading was so accurate that the judge dismissed 
  9. the charge against her. 
  10.    By 1930, Adams had her own radio show on 
  11. astrology.
